Buff & Beige Porcelain Paving – Warm, Durable & Effortless Style
Looking for a timeless paving option that’s both practical and beautiful?
Our buff and beige porcelain paving tiles are the perfect solution for patios and garden spaces across the UK.
Why Choose Porcelain Paving?
Porcelain paving offers a wide range of benefits:
-
Easy to clean and low maintenance
-
Extremely durable and hard-wearing
-
Stain and scratch resistant
-
Slip-resistant (R11 rated) – ideal for families and safe for children
-
Non-porous – won’t absorb moisture or grow moss and algae like traditional paving
Our 20mm thick, full-bodied, fully vitrified porcelain tiles are fired at over 3,000°C, giving them exceptional strength and longevity — perfect for the UK’s unpredictable weather conditions.
Is Porcelain Paving Slippery When Wet?
Not at all.
Our outdoor porcelain tiles are R11 anti-slip rated, meaning they maintain excellent grip in both wet and dry conditions. This makes them ideal for patios, paths, pool surrounds, and even driveways.
At Discount Porcelain Superstore, we only supply premium-grade, full-bodied porcelain paving — 20mm thick for maximum strength and durability.
Can Porcelain Be Used on Driveways?
Yes!
With its 20mm thickness and R11 slip rating, our porcelain paving is robust enough for driveways and light vehicle areas. Just ensure the correct sub-base and installation method are used.
How to Lay Porcelain Paving
Porcelain paving is laid much like traditional paving — with a few important differences:
-
Always apply a slurry primer to the underside of each tile before laying.
-
On a concrete base, use tile adhesive and a notched trowel.
-
On a hardcore sub-base, lay on a 5:1 sharp sand and cement mortar bed.
-
Finish with grout — choose from a brush-in jointing compound or a dedicated porcelain paving grout like Fuga-Pave CH Flex.
How to Clean Porcelain Paving
One of the biggest advantages of porcelain is how easy it is to clean.
A simple wipe down with a damp cloth or mop is often all that’s needed. For deeper cleans, a gentle jet wash works well without damaging the surface — unlike some natural stones.
What Is 20mm Outdoor Porcelain Paving — And Is It Worth It?
Absolutely.
Porcelain paving offers all the beauty of natural stone, with none of the drawbacks. It’s:
-
Man-made for consistency and strength
-
Available in a wide variety of colours and finishes
-
Anti-slip, stain resistant, and long-lasting
Whether you prefer a traditional look or a sleek, modern design, porcelain paving is a smart, stylish, and safe choice for your garden.
Is Porcelain Paving Modern or Traditional?
It can be both.
Thanks to advanced manufacturing, porcelain paving now comes in an incredible variety of styles:
-
Classic stone-effect tiles with pillowed edges and weathered textures for a traditional look
-
Sleek concrete, terrazzo, and polished finishes for a clean, contemporary feel
At Discount Porcelain Superstore, we stock designs to suit every style of home and garden.
